Tabor City - Jonathan Mark Monk, age 51 of Tabor City died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. He was the son of the late Herman Clint and Mamie Ellen Monk. He is survived by his wife, Tammie Kay Fowler Monk of the home; daughters, Julie Monk Todd of Little River, Alexis Monk Quick of Shelby, and Elizabeth Ellen Monk of Charlotte; step-sons, Michael D. Wright of Tabor City; step-daughters; Candy Wright and Sandy Wright both of Tabor City; brothers, Raymond Monk of Ft. Royal, Virginia, Larry Monk of Warrenton, Virginia and Clint Monk of California; sisters, Diane Monk of Staunton, VA, Judy Weller of Fredericksburg, VA and Linda Dunlap of Stafford, VA; 4 grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
