John "Butch" Gibson Register

John Gibson “Butch” Register, age 64 of the Lee’s Lake Community in Whiteville, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at his home.

Butch, as he was lovingly known, was born on January 1, 1957 in Columbus County, to the late John Woodus and Margaret Louise Ward Register.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday , April 14, 2021 at Shiloh Church Cemetery with Dr. Tommy Bryson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Matthew Register (Michelle) of the home; daughter, Amanda McPherson (Randal) of Whiteville; step-children, Charles Faulk of Raleigh, Jamie Faulk of Michigan, and Sasha Locklear (Eric) of Lumberton; grandchildren, Lindsey Register, Jacob Register, Alexis Register, Summer Tatum, Andrea Cook, Anna Register, Austin Register, Anna Faulk, Mollie Faulk, Charlie Faulk, Blake Faulk, Gabe Faulk, Jr. Locklear and Olivia Faulk and a great-grandson, Braylen Register.
