John Carl Stevens Obituary
Mr. John Carl Stevens, age 70 of the Pireway community died Wednesday, May 06, 2009 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCare Center in Whiteville. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Stevens Cemetery in Nakina with Reverend Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating. He was a veteran serving in the Army. He was the son of the late Samuel Dewey and Ada Thelma Faulk Stevens. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Earl Stevens and Hazel Eder. He is survived by a daughter, Heather Freedman of Boston, MA; a brother, Herman W. Stevens of Tabor City. Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is handling the arrangements. No service information has been added.
