John James Joseph Noonan, Jr. 86, of Whiteville, died on Friday, August 4, 2023, at his residence.

John was born on October 20, 1936, in South Boston, MA, son of the late John James Joseph Noonan Sr. and Winnifred Margaret Blanchard Noonan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Dorothy Purdy Noonan; step-son, Andrew Foster; grandson, Adam Foster; and granddaughter, Brooke Sullivan.

No services will be held at this time.

The surviving family includes three children, Dean E. Foster of Massachusetts, Colette Erin Lewis of Whiteville, Eileen Ruth Sullivan of Lumberton; three step-children, Norman Foster, William Foster, and David Foster; grandchildren, Joseph Cannao Jr of Rhode Island, John Cannao of Whiteville, Kenneth E Lewis IV of Whiteville, Issac Lewis of Whiteville, Robert Sullivan of New Hampshire, Ashley Sullivan of Lumberton, Chelsea Sullivan of New Hampshire, Brittany Foster of Massachusetts, Autumn Foster of Massachusetts; great grandchildren Giovanni Cannao, Lucca Cannao, Kennedy Lewis, Xaiver Sullivan, Azalea Sullivan, Wyatt Olley.
