The President and Co-owner of multi-generational family business Honeycutt Produce, Johnny joined brother, Phil, and late father, John H. Jr., in 1980 and helped expand the once “mom and pop” distribution company into one of the Carolinas’ leading produce suppliers.

In his free time, Johnny and wife, Kay, enjoyed spending time with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Kay Nance Honeycutt of the home; sons and daughters, Teresa L. Honeycutt (Paddy) of Chadbourn, Jonathan D. Honeycutt (Katie) of Chadbourn, Hope Hammond (Justin) of Raleigh and Wade Williamson (Amy) of Cerro Gordo; two siblings, Ginny H. Buffkin (Dorian) of Daniel Island, SC and Philip L. Honeycutt (Cindy) of Chadbourn; 13 grandchildren, Josh, Courtney, Savannah, Hunter, Reagan, Haiden, Christian, Johnston, Tyler, Ryley, Reese, Evan and Zachary;  and 8 great-grandchildren, Noah, Leah, Jaxx, Drake, Addie, Chaselynn,  Harrison and Zane.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the “Honeycutt Scholarship Fund”, c/o Chadbourn Baptist Church, 504 N. Howard Street, Chadbourn, NC 28431.
