John Daniel Gooden Obituary
Mr. John Daniel Gooden, age 76 of Whiteville died Friday, April 30, 2010 at his residence. He was the son of the late John A. and Quessie McQueen Gooden and was also preceded in death by a son, Phil Gooden. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Oak Dale Baptist Church, Whiteville with Reverend Robert McNair and Reverend Coy Long. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Alice Lou Britt Gooden of the home; daughters, Darlene Gooden Norris of Elizabethtown, Cindy Gooden Cribb of Supply and Renee Gooden Davis of Chadbourn; sons, Kenny Gooden of Winnabow and Keith Gooden of Clarkton; sisters, Sarah Gooden Melvin of Clarkton and Kay McFerrin of Mooresville, NC; brother, Mackie Gooden of Clarkton; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be7-9 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
