Jo Ann (Palmer) Baucom

Jo Ann Palmer Baucom, age 93 of Fairmont, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

JoAnn was born on January 15, 1927, to the late James Almer and Laura Belle Werline Palmer. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Mitzi “Mickie” Palmer Robertson and her daughter, Lori Jo Baucom.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Carter McNeely and Pastor Mike Plank officiating.  Interment will follow in the Floyd Cemetery in Fairmont.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45, prior to the service on Thursday.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Louis “Pete” Edwin Baucom of the home; daughter, LeAnne B. Barlau (Sam) of Littleton, CO; son, Martin Louis Baucom of Albemarle, NC; siblings: Jimmy Palmer of Atlanta, GA, Frankie Palmer Alexander of Charlotte; four grandchildren: Amie Plank, Marty Baucom, Jackson Barlau, Josh Barlau, and one great-grandchild, Halley Plank.
