Jerry Dale Sarvis, 66, of Nakina, passed away on Monday evening, September 29, 2025, at Novant-New Hanover Regional medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

Jerry was born on October 30, 1958, son of the late J.D. Sarvis and Lizzie Albertine Fipps Sarvis.  Jerry was also preceded in death by a brother, Roy Sarvis.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Hosea Simmons Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, at the funeral home.

Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He thoroughly enjoyed his logging career and hunting.

The surviving family includes his wife of 35 years, Polly J. Sarvis; children, Jessica Sarvis Prince (Johnny), Dewayne Sarvis (Madeline), Jason Sarvis (Carlena), Jonathan “JJ” Jones, Lisa Jones, Vicky Godwin, and Ashley Jones; grandchildren, Casandra Stalvey, Taylor White, Selena White, Casandra Sarvis, Allyssa Sarvis, Savannah Watson, Breanna Jones, Nicholas Faulk, Zachary Faulk, and Tyler Long, Jason, Conner, Winter, and Camery Sarvis; siblings, Frank Sarvis (Rhonda) of Murphy, Mary Alice Clewis of Nakina, Betty Long (Russell) of Nakina and Marilyn Ansbach of Nakina.
