Jason Warner Smith, Jr.

Jason Warner Smith, Jr., age 24 of Chadbourn, slipped into eternity, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident, on April 1, 2022.

Jason was born on May 12, 1997, in Columbus County, son of Jason Warner Smith, Sr. and Angie Meares Britt, of Chadbourn. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Joe Meares. 

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Worthington Funeral Home, with interment to follow in the Hammond Cemetery; Rev. Ron Barnes and Rev. Charles Dudley will officiate. 

Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancé, Amanda Baldwin Connor of Chadbourn; two precious children, Mallory Smith, and Jackson Smith; sister, Megan Smith of Chadbourn; maternal grandmother, Gloria Musslewhite of Cerro Gordo; uncle, Edward Meares of Cerro Gordo; his cousin, Grayson Meares of Ohio, and a special friend, Ashley Hoon.
