James Allen Bunch, 68, of Whiteville, died on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at home.

James was born on August 25, 1955, in Columbus County, son of the late Arthur Bunch and Ruby Lee Norris Bunch. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ray Bunch.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Ernest Goins officiating. The family will speak to friends prior to the service from 5:00-5:45 p.m.

James leaves behind his daughter, Heather Jo Hunt (Tim) of Lumberton; siblings: Marie Mitchell (John) of Chadbourn, Richard Bunch (Tonya) of Whiteville, Loria Jimenez (Chico) of Chadbourn, David Bunch (Gail) of Whiteville, and his fiancé’, Lynn Shaw of Whiteville.
