James Edward Strickland, Jr.

James Edward Strickland, Jr. age 37 of the St. James Community in Lake Waccamaw, died from injuries sustained in a car accident on Sunday morning, January 31, 2021.

James was born on October 19, 1983 in Columbus County and was the son of James Edward and Mattie Faye Graham Strickland, of Lake Waccamaw.

Mr. Strickland was a welder in the construction industry.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, with interment to follow in the St. James Memorial Cemetery.

In addition to his parents, James is also survived by his daughters, Jazlin Carder of Whiteville, Skyra Strickland of Whiteville and Halona R. Strickland, of Elizabethtown; sisters, Tawana A. Strickland of Bolton, and Stephanie S. Battle (Kenneth) of Lake Waccamaw.
