James "Jim" Alexander Palmer III, age 86, of Lumberton passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville.
Jim was born on April 21, 1940 in Washington, DC to the late James Alexander Palmer Jr. and Eugenia Anne Mindaleff Palmer. He was also preceded in death by an infant child, Brian Keith Palmer.
No services will be held at this time.
Surviving family includes, his wife, Helen Mason Palmer; children Lori Palmer Harvey and Kenneth James Palmer; brother, Gerald "Jerry" Palmer; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
