James Patrick “Pat” Carter, Jr. age 84 of the Lennon's Crossroads Community Evergreen, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 18, 2020 at his residence, with family by his side.
Pat, as he was lovingly known, was born September 1, 1936 to the late James Patrick Carter, Sr. and Ethel Shephard Carter. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia “Trish” Carter and his siblings, Milton Carter, Eugene Carter, Elaine Anderson, Mildred Carter, Louise Carter, Shirley Burton, Miriam Carter.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at Worthington Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Singletary Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45, prior to the service.
Survivors include his children, James Larry Carter of Evergreen, Terry Lynn Carter (Linda Gail) of Evergreen, Darryl Carter (Sandra Lynn) of Evergreen, Susan (Sue) Carter Mills (Tim) of Leland; siblings, Marus Carter (Patsy) of Conway and Gerald Carter of Alabama; grandchildren, Crystal Britt (Patrick), Johnathan Scott Carter, James Patrick Carter (preceded), Andrea P. Meadows (Toby Deran), Jason Carter (Chassika), DJ Carter (Jamie), Austin Pittman; great-grandchildren, Allysia Marie Britt, Hayley Nicole Britt, Payton Casey Britt, Kaden Carter, Ashton Carter, Jada Carter, Bryleigh Carter, Daylon Carter, Meredith Carter, Caroline Carter, Nolan Carter, Kayley Carter, Laykin Carter, and Ashton Carter.
