James "Patrick" Carter, age 36 of Brooker Lennon Highway in Evergreen, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at his residence. A native of Columbus County, Patrick was born on February 22, 1983 to Mr. Terry Lynn Carter and Linda Gail Smith Carter. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Avant Family Cemetery in Evergreen. Visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45, prior to the service on Friday. Patrick was a welder in the construction industry. To cherish his memory, Patrick leaves behind his children, Nolan Patrick Carter, Kayley Ann Carter, Laykin Lynn Carter and their mother, Kimberly Moore, all of Evergreen; siblings, Crystal Carter Britt (Patrick) of Evergreen, Johnathan Scott Carter (Kourtnie) of Evergreen; paternal grandparents, James P. Carter & Patricia Carter of Evergreen; maternal grandparents, Linda M. Avant & Tommy Avant of Evergreen.
