James “Anthony” Bass age 64, of Cerro Gordo passed on Saturday, September 28, 2021 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Rabon officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of the service on Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
He was the son of Audrey C. Bass and the late Margaret Lou Hyatt Bass.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Angela “Angie” Louise Allen Bass of the home; daughter, Meghan Bass Robertson (William) of Cerro Gordo and a son, James Hunter Bass of the home; three siblings, Marsha Ann Bass of Charlotte, Richard Bass (Amy) of Concord and Wendy Bass Johnson (Mark) of Kings Mountain; two grandsons, Brooks Robertson and Mac Robertson; a special uncle, Marshall Green; nieces and nephews and great nephews and a great-niece; his best friend, Randall Johnson (Cheryl) of Brittons Neck, SC.
