J.W. Junior Griffin

J.W. Junior Griffin, age 76 of Cerro Gordo, passed away on Saturday evening, August 29, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.

J.W. was born on September 16, 1943, in Columbus County, to the late Johnnie Herman Griffin and Jessie Fairfax Griffin. He was the husband of the late, Ruby Worley Griffin and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Karen Griffin; four siblings, Fannie Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Billy Griffin and Joyce G. Green.

He was employed by National Spinning in Whiteville,  retiring after 25 years of service.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Griffin officiating.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah G. McKeithan of the home; four grandchildren, Kim Jacobs, Jonathan McKeithan, Jennifer McKeithan and Amy M. Thompson; nine great-grandchildren, Kaleb Butler, Madison Butler, Kaelynn McKeithan, Zoey McKeithan, Hunter McKeithan, Izabella McKeithan, Liam McKeithan, Bryson Thompson and Riley Thompson.
