Horace Raymond Nobles

Horace Raymond Nobles, age 78 of Chadbourn passed on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Angel House in Whiteville. A celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Dave Crumpler officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. He was the son of the late Luzie Nobles and Joseph Nobles, Sr. and was also preceded in death by two siblings, Harley Nobles and Winnie Mae Nobles. He was a member of the Chadbourn Baptist Church and a member of the Chadbourn Masonic Lodge #607. He was employed at the Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant in Southport for 25 years as an electrical supervisor until his retirement. To cherish is memories, he leaves his wife of 57 years, Rosa Maryland Buffkin Nobles of the home; three children, Kim Parker (Larry) of Chadbourn, Horace Gregory Nobles (Rosa) of Port St. Lucie, FL and Joseph Samuel Nobles (Sara) of Timberlake; three siblings, Joseph Nobles, Jr. of Cerro Gordo, Annette N. Nobles of Cerro Gordo and Mary Alice Grainger of Wilmington; seven grandchildren, Cary Strickland, Jared Parker, Dylan Parker, Aaron Nobles, Jacob Nobles, Noah Nobles and Lucas Nobles.
