Helen Frances “Frankie” Pierce Gore, 70, of Whiteville, passed away on Sunday evening, May 17, 2026, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Angel House.

Frankie, as she was lovingly known, was born on July 17, 1955, daughter of the late Malcolm A. Pierce and Faye Smith Pierce. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Barbara Dean Pierce Rotunda, (infant twins) Mary Angela Pierce and William Angelo Pierce Rotunda. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at  the Pierce Cemetery, Hallsboro.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. 

The surviving family includes her son, Roy Dillon Gore (Blair); siblings, Malcolm Buddy Pierce (Avonda) of Whiteville; grandchildren, Brooklyn Melany Gore, Roy Dale Gore, Beau Malcolm Gore, and Renee Dean Gore; nieces, Angie Reaves (Matt) and Denise Ward (Keith).
