Whiteville -- Mr. Harold Gene McPherson, age 63 and a former resident of Daytona Beach, FL died at his home on July 28, 2009. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 31, 2009 11:00 a.m. at the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn with Reverend William Jackie Godwin officiating. He is survived by a son, Harold Lamar McPherson of Chadbourn; two daughters, Tina M. McGinley and husband, Mike of Daytona Beach, FL and Rhonda Lynn Harrison of Daytona Beach, FL; his mother, Hazel McPherson Simmons of Chadbourn; brothers, Greg Simmons of Chadbourn, Gary Simmons of Whiteville, Sammy Simmons of Clarendon, Danny Simmons of Wilson, and Frankie Simmons of Clarendon; a special friend, Lee K. McPherson; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
