Harold Dean Blackwell

Harold “Dean” Blackwell, age 59 of Cerro Gordo, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Dean was born on May 19, 1961 in Columbus County to the late Charlie McKeithan Blackwell and Carolyn Ann Long Blackwell. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Randy Blackwell and Charlie Blackwell.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Griffin will officiate. 

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Terry Sue Thompson Blackwell of the home; children: Charlie Dean Blackwell (Angelia) of Whiteville, and Amanda Sue Smith (Willie) of Cerro Gordo; siblings: Scott Allen Blackwell of Cerro Gordo, Dianna Lynn Blackwell of Whiteville; grandchildren: Austin Blackwell, Caleb Blackwell, Alexis Smith, Nicholas Smith, James Blackwell, and Gracie Lynn Blackwell.
