George was born on January, 12, 1967 son of George Allen McKnight and Judy Hagan. He was preceded in death by his father.

The surviving family includes his wife, Marla Moore McKnight of the home; children, Seth and Kay McKnight of the home, and Kurt McKnight of TN; mother Judy Snyder (Dave) of FL; grandchild, Elizabeth McKnight; siblings, Ann McKnight of NV, Tammy Neely of FL, Heather Lannom of TN, Angela Horgan of MO, Brian McKnight of TN, and David Snyder of CA; mother in law, Carol Byrne of Lumberton; father in law, Tom Moore (Ruthann) of NY; two sister in laws, Mindy and Missy Moore of TN; brother in law, Matthew Moore of Calabash; nieces Leah and Kiera Moore of TN.
