Gayla Nanette Hedgepeth Jens age 56, of Chadbourn went to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 19, 2021 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Tonette Hedgepeth Cox.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Keith Jens; a son, Adam Carter Jens of the home; her parents, Waitus Lloyd Hedgepeth and Estalene Britt Hedgepeth of Chadbourn; and a sister, Tammy H. Tyner and her husband, Gary of St. Pauls.

I worked with Gayla, at Hardee's when we all were in high school. I always enjoyed working with her. She was a special and beautiful person. I am so sorry for your loss. I know she will be missed. Prayers and love to all!

It seems like "only yesterday" that we enjoyed watching Gayla perform in some of the SCC musical productions. She was always so kind and helpful to the younger participants.. She was a very talented, beautiful sweet lady. Our sincere condolences to all of Gayla's family and loved ones.
