Floyd Leggett “Scratch” Butler, age 44 of Chadbourn, slipped into eternity on Thursday evening, October 22, 2020 in Brunswick County, following injuries that were sustained in an automobile accident.
Scratch, as he was affectionately known, was born on April 6, 1976. He was the son of Floyd Thomas Butler and Diane Johnson Rabon. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marqueen Todd.
A funeral service commemorating Scratch’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Worthington Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, at the funeral home.
In addition to his parents, Scratch is survived by his wife, Shelly Thomas Butler of the home; two precious children, Hayden Butler of Cerro Gordo and McKinlee Butler of the home; three step-children, Chasity McPherson of Hallsboro, Elisabeth Potter of Hallsboro, and Hannah Potter of the home; one beloved granddaughter, Miss Adalyn “Addie” Butler; siblings, David T. Butler (Dianna) of Whiteville, Jeremy Wayne Butler (Crystal) of Cerro Gordo, Tiffaneigh Armakovitch (Josh) of Nakina, and Seth Butler of Raleigh; grandfather, Charles Thomas Butler of Chadbourn.
