Whiteville - Mrs. Eunice Brown Harris, age 84 of Whiteville died Saturday, August 08, 2009 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. Final rites will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday August, 12, 2009 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend James Howard Nobles officiating. Interment will follow in the Benevolence Cemetery, Hwy 131, Clarkton. She was the widow of Harry Lee Harris and the daughter of the late Charlie Edwin and Annie Babson Brown. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Mattie B. Brown, Hettie B. Cox, Charlie Brown, Jack Brown, Dan Brown, Paul Brown, and John Babson. She is survived by a son, Clifford Scott Harris of Whiteville; and 4 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
