Estelle (Simms) Dyson

Thelma Estelle Simms Dyson, age 88 of Chadbourn, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 10, 2022 at her home.

Estelle was born on September 2, 1933, in Columbus County, to the late Thomas Franklin Simms and Margaret Ruth Turbeville Simms. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Crowell Dyson, Jr. and her siblings: James Simms, Mollie Herring, Bill Simms, Bernice Carter, Mary McKenzie, Alice Faye Duncan, Junior Simms. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 Friday evening at the funeral home. 

Estelle leaves behind her three sons: Crowell Thomas "Tommy" Dyson (Barbara), Jimmy C. Dyson and Paul Curtis Dyson (Peggy) all of Chadbourn; five grandchildren, Denise Stephens, Paula Ivey, Tamatha O’Connor, Heather Dyson and Pamela Little; six great-grandchildren, Amber Stephens, Ashlynn Dickerson, Gabby Harrison, Bryson Ivey, Sadie Harrison, and Myles Little. She also leaves behind her special niece, Linda Brown.
