Ernest Paul Jones, Jr. 78, of Whiteville, died on Saturday, September 9, 2023, in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville, NC.

Paul was born on March 14, 1945, in Columbus County, son of the late Ernest Paul Jones, Sr. and Missouri Ward Jones.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the Hosea Simmons Cemetery (707 Ward Town Road S. Whiteville).

The surviving family includes four children: Suzette Benton (Kevin), Denise Jones, Michael Shane Jones (Kim), all of Whiteville; Jonathan Jones of Nakina; a sister, Eva Edmund Jones of Whiteville; six grandchildren.
