Mrs. Emily Jane Benton Hammonds, age 51 of Brunswick died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville. She was the daughter of the late Mack James and Alberta Jackson Benton. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced by Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Maurice Hammonds of the home; a son, Chris G. Hammonds of the home; a sister, Judy Benton Roe of Whiteville; one grandchild.
