Elmore Weatus Porter, Jr., 75, of Hephzibah, GA, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Chadbourn.
Elmore was born on July 1, 1949, the son of the late Elmore W. Porter, Sr. and Hazel Louise Dew Porter. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Climmie Porter; son, Daniel O'Brian Porter; siblings, Jackson Porter, Danny Porter, Jerry Porter, Elizabeth Carter, Miriam Dutton.

Mr. Porter was a master carpenter up until his retirement.
The surviving family includes children, Billy Wayne Porter (Tina) of Brunswick, GA, Melissa McPherson (Mark) of Chadbourn, NC, Michele Winston (Richard) of Aiken, SC; step-children, Brandon Johns (Melanie) of McBean, GA, Timmy Davis of McBean, GA, Patty Scharborough (Kenny) of Columbus, MS; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael Porter, Donald Porter (Peggy), Mary Alice Nethkan (Thomas), Martha Whitare, Timothy Porter (Rosie).
