Obituary
Elaine Hammond Jordan, 71, of Cerro Gordo, died on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, while in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville, NC.
Elaine was born on October 16, 1951, daughter of the late Wilton Hammond and Frances Stewart Hammond. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Jordan and her brother, Dale Hammond.
A service to celebrate Elaine’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the Williamson’s Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery.
To cherish her memory, Elaine leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Buster Jordan of the home; son, Scott Jordan of Murrells Inlet, SC; sister, Hope Hammond Nobles of Chadbourn; brother, Henry Hammond of Loris, SC; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
