Mrs. Effie Harris Wilson, age 86 of Whiteville and formerly of Shallotte died Monday July 27, 2009 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Final rites will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend James Howard Nobles officiating. Entombment will follow in Columbus Memorial Park Mausoleum, Whiteville. She was the daughter of the late Avery and Lizzie Weatherford Harris and preceded in death by four siblings, Bert Nobles, Rackley Harris, Cheser Harris and Harry Lee Harris. She is survived by her husband, Charles Ray Wilson of the home; step-sons, James S. Wilson of Virginia Beach, VA and Lynn Charles Wilson of California; and one grandchild. Visitation will be held 7-9 pm Wednesday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
