Edra Rebecca (McLelland) Yates

Edra Rebecca McLelland Yates, 99 years old, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021.  She was born October 4, 1922, to the late Archie McLelland and Nettie Bullock McLelland.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Piney Forest Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. David Vess officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Bryan Yates, Sr.

She was a member of the Chadbourn Baptist Church.  Rebecca was an active member in the community, involved with the ECA, North Carolina Strawberry Festival and the Extension Services.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia P. Haley, sons, Frederick Bryan Yates, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, Roland Bradley Yates, and his wife, Lamonica; and was a grandmother to eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Granny Beck was loved and will be missed by many.
