Mrs. Edna Buffkin Britt, age 74 of Evergreen died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Worthington Funeral Home with Dr. Reverend Milford Oxendine officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen United Methodist Church Cemetery. She was the daughter of the late Emerson Roscoe and Frostie Roberts Buffkin and with widow of Billy Wayne Britt. She is survived by two sons, Butch Johnson and wife, Kate of Chadbourn and Bill Britt of Holly Springs, NC; a daughter, Diane J. Rabon of Evergreen; step-daughter, Regina Williamson of Whiteville; step-son, Tony Britt of Whiteville; sisters, Rachel B. Bulliner of North Myrtle Beach and Ann B. Giguire of North Myrtle Beach, SC; two brothers, Clauson Buffkin of Chadbourn and Larry Buffkin of Elizabethtown; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn. No service information has been added.
