Edith Veronica Hammonds Redwine

Edith Veronica Hammonds Redwine, age 87 of Hallsboro, passed away late Wednesday evening, July 15, 2020, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.  Edith was born on March 15, 1933, in Columbus County, to the late Alonzo Hammonds and Annie Belle Britt Hammonds. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthur David Redwine, Sr. and her siblings, Annie Pauline Sellers, and Will Rogers Hammonds; children, Arthur David Redwine, Jr. and Earl Redwine.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020, at Worthington Funeral Home; Interment will follow in the Union Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Earl Redwine will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45, prior to the service.  Survivors include her children, Peggy Redwine Williamson, of Whiteville, Marvin Redwine, of Wrightsville Beach; 8 grandchildren, Marilyn Dyson, Barbara Norris, Ed Williamson, Carl Redwine, Alex Redwine, Jerome Redwine, Michael Redwine, Earl Redwine, Jr. and 12 great grandchildren, Hayley, Ashley, Hannah, Hunter, Tyler, Lakyn, Leah, Adam, Josh, Bradley, Hannah, Katie; great-great grandchild, Tayen.
