Dovie Jean (Blackwell) Floyd

Dovie Jean Blackwell Floyd, age 81 of Riegelwood, went to be with her Lord early Friday morning, August 21, 2020 at Premier Living Nursing and Rehab Center in Lake Waccamaw, NC.

Jean was born on November 4, 1938, in Chadbourn, NC, to the late Donnie Ether and Grace Hammond Blackwell; She was also the widow of the late Ben Floyd, who preceded her in 2009.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Tommy McClusky officiating.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Pam F. Sellers and husband, Ken of Whiteville; sons, Jeff Floyd of Kenansville, Benjy Floyd of Riegelwood, and Kris Floyd and wife, Donna of Hampstead; grandchildren, Ryan Sellers, Victoria Sellers, Hillary Floyd, Haley Floyd, Jacob Floyd, and Jordan Floyd; a great-grandchild, Elliott Sellers; siblings, Donnie Dean Blackwell, Sr.  and wife, Marilyn, of Lake City, FL, and Linda B. Lawson, of Starke, FL.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
