Douglas Edward Horne

Douglas Edward Horne age 75 of Whiteville passed on Thursday at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.

Final rites will be held at 3:00p.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Dean Jackson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Oak Dale Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:45 pm until 2:45 pm prior to the service on Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home.
He was the son of the late Simon Horne and Thelma Jane Wells Horne and was also preceded in death by two siblings, Oliver Max Horne, and Sarah H. Sellers.

He is survived by his three children, Simon Edward “Eddie” Horne and wife, Cindy of Whiteville, Charles Monroe “Chuck” Horne and wife, Rebecca of Whiteville and Rebecca H. Nobles and her husband, Ashley of Riegelwood: two siblings, Doris H. Bordeaux of Leland, and Charles Richard Horne of Whiteville; 2 grandchildren, Ethan Nobles and Tyler Nobles.
