Doris Ann (Cartrette) Storms

Doris Ann Cartrette Storms, age 84 of Western Prong community of Clarkton, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.

Doris was born February 12, 1936 in Columbus County to the late James Vollie Cartrette and Agnes Sellers Cartrette and was the widow of Bennie Lee Storms who preceded her in 2011.  She was also preceded in death by a son, Benjamin Terry Storms and two siblings, Christine C. Bowen and Floyd Cartrette.  

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 8, 2020 at Western Prong Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Barry Swain officiating.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Storms Dorsey (Joe) of Whiteville; a daughter-in-law, Addie Clark of Clarkton; siblings, Paul Cartrette of Raleigh, Mary C. Ward (Bobby) of Fayetteville, Larry Cartrette (Linda) of Clarkton and Irma C. McPherson (Tommy) of Clarkton; three grandchildren, Jason Dorsey (Kelly), Kristy Worley and Crystal Mitchell (Tony); and five great-grandchildren, Landon, Chloe, Jordan, Brinley and Zack; a special friend, Maxine Jordan of Clarkton.

The family request at in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Western Prong Baptist Church Building Fund.
