Donna Jane Herring Council

Donna Jane Council On Friday, January 11th, Donna Jane (Herring) Council of Lake Waccamaw, went to be with her Lord and Savior. Donna was born in Pender County on November 8,1952 along with her twin brother Danny, son of the late Eunice Faye Cook Herring and Robert Herbert Herring, Jr. She was also proceeded in death by two brothers Robert Herbert "Bobby" Herring, III, Danny James "Peter D" Herring, her granddaughter Olivia Rahne Smith, and a nephew Robert Summersett, and best friend Mike "Buddy" Sellers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Waccamaw. A loving mother to Lori H. Hewett (Josh) of Chandler, AZ and Laura H. Clemmons (David) of Beaufort, NC. Nana to Elijah Hewett, Dallas Hewett, and Jordan Clemmons. A loving sister to Linda Norris (Wayne). A loving aunt to Eddie Norris, Christie Augst, and Terrie Easterling. She also leaves behind a special cousin Rachel Taylor and a best friend Kathy Boyer. The visitation will be held 11am-1pm, Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn, NC with the funeral service starting at 1pm in the Chapel, officiated by Pastor Terry Green. Burial will be at Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery, 4124 Mt. Misery Road, NE, Leland, NC. A service of Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
