Donald Pearson Moore

Donald Pearson Moore, age 64 of Whiteville, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Donald was born on September 15, 1957, to the late David Pearson Moore and Louise Townsend Moore. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Kay Dew; siblings, Gladys Watts, Elizabeth Creech, Ronald Moore, and Carolyn Diane Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2022 at Worthington Funeral Home, with Reverend  Kevin Kinlaw officiating.  Interment to follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:45, prior to the service on Friday. 

Donald worked in the Specialist Material Management division at Fluor Corporation Company for 34 years. He was a loving husband, father, papa and great papa; Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, and racing with his son, Chris and his good friend, Harry Hinson.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Kay Smith Moore of the home; children, Christopher Jason Moore (Renee) of Chadbourn, Donnie Leon Powers, Jr. of Whiteville, Donna Powers Whelan (Troy) of Virginia; siblings, Ralph Moore of Chadbourn, Grady Moore of Chadbourn, Brenda Wiggins of Clarkton; grandchildren, Wayne Dew, Stephanie Rothrock, Reagan Powers, Bella Grace Moore; great-grandchildren, Winter Green, Kalani Melvin, Kendall Melvin, and Josephina Melvin.
