Dennis Jay Long, 63, of Whiteville, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Dennis was born on August 28, 1961, son of the late Jason Thomas Long and Myrtle Anzie Duncan Long. He was also preceded in death by his son, Matthew Long.

The surviving family includes his wife, Vicky Watkins Long of Chadbourn; son, Chris Long (Candice) of Chadbourn; father, Jason T. Long (Sandra) of Shallotte; brother and best friend, Jesse James Long (Cheryll) of Whiteville; several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
