Daniel "Danny" Ray Wiggins

Daniel "Danny" Ray Wiggins, age 72 of the Mt. Calvary community of Clarkton, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 8, 2019, surrounded by his family. Danny was born on October 17, 1947 in Columbus County to the late Joseph Arthur Wiggins and Omie Lucille Thompson Wiggins. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Danny was a dedicated member of New Center Baptist Church and was employed in management with Fluor Construction for 40 years until his retirement in 2010. To cherish his memory he leaves his wife of 44 years, Brenda Moore Wiggins of the home; a step-daughter, Angela Renee Aydell of Clarkton; siblings, Jannette W. Brady and her husband, Hugh of Carolina Beach, J.C. Wiggins and his wife, Linda of Clarkton, Peggy W. Ward and her husband, Purl of Whiteville, Vicky W. Packer and Lisa W. Britt of both of Clarkton; brothers-in-law, Ralph Moore of Chadbourn, Grady Moore of Nichols, SC, Donald Moore (Brenda) of Whiteville.He also leaves behind many numerous Nieces & Nephews.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Kinlaw, Pastor Heath Conner and Pastor Jimmy McNeil officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
