Daniel Donald Battista, Jr.

Daniel Donald “Danny” Battista, Jr. age 59 of Whiteville, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville, NC.

Danny was born on April 24, 1961 in Chicago, IL to the late Daniel Donald Battista, Sr and survived by his mother, Jain Elizabeth Syler Vickerman of Whiteville.  He was the husband of the late Alice Faye Long Battista who preceded him on November 16, 2020.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark Allen Battista.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn; Chaplin David Parry will officiate. The service will be streamed lived on the Worthington Funeral Home Facebook page.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to his mother he is survived by daughters and sons, Megan Battista (Nic) of Baraboo, WS, Arianna Danielle Faye King of Whiteville, Hope Sarah Lowery of Whiteville, Timothy Allen King of Chadbourn, James Thomas King of Whiteville, Dana Michelle King (Sam Gray) of Southport and Francesca Faye Hayes (Aaron) of Whiteville; a sister, Kim Allen of Clearwater, FL; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and special friends, the Jacobson Family in Madison, Wisconsin.
