Charles "Topher" Christopher Whaley

Charles Christopher “Topher” Whaley, 33, of Nakina, died suddenly on Friday, September 8th, 2023, in the Columbus Regional Medical Center in Whiteville, NC.

“Topher” as he was lovingly known, was born on April 23, 1990, in Columbus County.

A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday September 19, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Russell Honeycutt officiating. 

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 3:00-3:45 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home. 

The surviving family includes his father, Christopher Lee Whaley (Lorie Ann) of Nakina; mother, Patricia Dawn Chavis of Whiteville; siblings, John Aaron Hines of Clarendon, Nicole Hines of Whiteville, Rebecca LeeAnn Whaley of Nakina, Christina Waggle (Andy) of Beaverdam; maternal grandparents, Steve Chavis (Vivian) of St. Pauls; one loving niece and eight loving nephews; his best friend, Nathan McDevitt; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
