Cathleen Turbeville Dudney, age 85 of Fair Bluff, received her eternal healing on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at West Bladen Assisted Living in Bladenboro, while surrounded by her loving family. A native of Columbus County, Cathleen was born on October 14, 1933 to the Late Ferd Turbeville and Minnie Waddell Turbeville. Ms. Dudney was the widow of the late Ruyland Lanier Dudney, and she was also preceded in death by her son, Rodney Dudney; grandchildren, Ricky Cartrette, Ashlynn Dudney; great-grandchildren, Cameron Dudney, Tristan Rylan Stox; siblings, PJ Turbeville, Taft Turbeville, Shelton Turbeville, Tuncie Turbeville, H.L. Turbeville, Ruth Turbeville, Roudy Dudney, Emma Haynes. Cathleen was kind-hearted and compassionate woman. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Hinsons Crossroads Baptist Church. Ms. Dudney leaves behind beloved family, including her children, Andy Dudney (Cherry) of Gaston, SC, Kent Dudney (Judy) of Clarendon, Mitcheal Dudney of Dillon, SC, Terry Dudney (Vicki) of Whiteville, Pam Cartrette (Dean) of Tabor City, Sue Wilson (Crockett) of Tabor City, Patsy Brown (Harley) of Chadbourn; daughter-in-law, Loretta F. Dudney of Dillon, SC; sisters, Azilee Redwine of Mint Hill, NC, Pearline Coleman of Rockwell, NC; 18 Grandchildren & 30 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the Hinsons Crossroads Baptist Church, with Pastor Glenn Stanley and Pastor Donald Conway officiating. Interment will follow in the Powell Cemetery, Fair Bluff. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00, Wednesday evening at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn, and other times at the home of Terry Dudney... 203 Freedom Blvd. Whiteville, NC.
