Carla Jean (Wilson) Barrett

Carla Jean (Wilson) Barrett, 54 years of age, of Whiteville, North Carolina, passed on to her eternal home on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. She was born in Harrison, Arkansas on August 4, 1967, to Billy Gene Wilson and Charlotte Patricia (Treat) Wilson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., in the Peace Baptist Church, with Pastor Steven Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Soles Family Cemetery, in the Emerson Community.

Visitation will be held from 10-10:45, prior to the service.

Carla lived a life of adventure, never hesitating to take off on a whim. She shared her extensive love of reading with all of her children, leaving behind a hunger for knowledge that will continue to grow as her legacy.
Carla is survived by her eldest daughter, Patricia RaeAnn and husband, Miguel Lennon; her sons, McKenzie and wife, Chyanne Moran, Brandon Rizzo, Izaya Barrett, and her youngest daughter, Catalyn Grace (Gracie) Barrett; two grandsons, Miguel Lennon, Jr. (MJ) and Keaton Lennon; three sisters, Vivian Kelley, Roberta McDougal, and Charlotte Elizabeth Wilson (Liz); and one brother, Charles Wilson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Willis Dale Wilson.
 

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jerome McPherson, Chris Boren, Dawson Norris, Bryan Culbertson, David Ransom, and Duane Currie.
