Bobby Gene McColskey

Bobby Gene McColskey, age 80 of Evergreen, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at his home.

Bobby was born on June 3, 1940, in Lumberton, to the late James "Capp" and Susan Britt McColskey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lois Rhodes McColskey; a son, William Eugene McCloskey and a granddaughter, Brandie Lynn McColskey.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Caines officiating.  Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until 2:45 P.M. Saturday at Worthington Funeral Home.

Survivors include his sister, Betty Sue M. Strickland of New Bern; a granddaughter, Jessica Marie McColskey of Florida; a nephew, Steven M. Strickland  of New Bern; and "adopted" kids, Christa and Kent Fowler and "adopted" grandchildren;  Logan and Austin Fowler.  The family would like to express a special thanks to Eddie and Denise Williamson for their many years of support and care for Bobby.
