Betty Jo Watts Norris, 85, of the Cribbtown Community of Chadbourn, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at SECU Hospice House of Brunswick. 

Betty was born on September 6, 1939, daughter of the late Goley Watts and Jessie Booth Watts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Perry Norris; children, Perry Lynn Norris and Dan Samuel “Bo” Norris; grandson, Derrick Cribb and granddaughter, Rebecca Norris.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastors Brad Hardwick and Chip Hannah officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Tabor City.  

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Wednesday.

Betty was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Clarendon.  

The surviving family includes her daughter, Dorinda Jo Norris Cribb and husband, Royal, of the Cribbtown community; grandchildren, Carla Patrick, Samuel Norris, Megan Norris; 10 great/great-great-grandchildren.
