Betty Jane Strickland, 81, of Cerro Gordo passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at MUSC in Florence, SC.

Betty was born on October 17, 1944, daughter of the late Thomas Madison Murray and Mary Jane Gray Murray. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Strickland and her brother, Jack Murray.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 21st, 2025, at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Gowan Cemetery in Cerro Gordo.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. on Sunday, prior to the service.

Betty leaves behind her Children, Karen Edwards (Dan) of Mullins SC, Angie Duncan (Shane) of the home, Johnny Pridgen (Donna) of Marion SC, Lisa Pridgen of the home; Stepson, Dan Strickland (Frances) of Cerro Gordo; siblings, Katie Johnson, Horace Murray (Teresa), Ernestine Strickland; Grandchildren, Thomas Gray (Jessi), Casey Blue, Chance Mincey (Anna), Heather Altman, Zack Altman, Cody Altman (Whitney), Brittany Fincannon (Charlie), VJ Pridgen (Mariko); Great Grandchildren, Ayden, Charles Dylan, Kayleigh, Chloe, Caiden, Shayna, Layla, Kason, Allison, Calli, Cody, Bailey, Jaselyn, Graham, Wells, Rowan, Myla, and Jagger.
