Betty Carol (Strickland) Haynes

Betty Carol Strickland Haynes, age 76 of Cerro Gordo, entered in the presence of her Lord on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at her home.

Betty was born on October 12, 1943, in Columbus County, to the late Talmadge and Letha Mae Coleman Strickland. Betty was the widow of Clyde Haynes who preceded her in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Gregory Allen Haynes, Gary Dean Haynes; siblings, Lucille S. Wilson, Virgil Strickland, Leroy Strickland, and Steve Douglas Strickland. 

Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Perry Cribb officiating.  Interment following in the Haynes-Sealey Cemetery in Cerro Gordo.

The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Worthington Funeral Home.

Ms. Haynes leaves behind her granddaughters, Nancy Britt of Cerro Gordo, Hope Mendez of Cerro Gordo, and Heather Haynes of Nichols, SC.
