Betty Louise Walker Dawson

Betty Louise Walker Dawson of Whiteville, 86 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehab after an extended illness.
 

She was born on April 26, 1934 in Columbus County and was the daughter of Margaret Walker Hilbourn Hines and Leroy Hilbourn.
In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dawson, her devoted and loving daughter Sylvia Ann Hobbs, along with a sister, Gladys Rae Kinlaw, and brother Bobby Delane Hilburn.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at the Walker Cemetery with Rev. Ervin Etheridge officiating.

She is survived by a son, Sharon Lee Summersett of Lumberton; a sister, Bonnie Strickland (Joe) of Whiteville; three brothers, Robert Lee Hilburn (Wanda) of Whiteville, Cecil Leroy Hilburn, Hallsboro, and Rudy Hilburn (Faye) of Evergreen. She also had many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply and looked up to her.
