Mr. Benjamin Leroy Barnhill, age 67 of Whiteville died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at his residence. Final rites will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Thomas Fairfax and Reverend Chip Hannah officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. He was the son of the late Vonnie A. and Vera Faircloth Barnhill. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elise Ward, brother, J.D. Barnhill and a grandson, Benji Sibbett. Surviving family include his wife, Faye Hayes Barnhill of the home; daughters, Sarah McGee of Whiteville, Tillie Barnhill of Whiteville and Pam Etheridge of Old Dock; step-daughter, Marcia Glover of Lipan, TX; brothers, Charles Barnhill, Ronnie Barnhill and David Barnhill all of Tabor City; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn No service information has been added.
